  1. Taints and Tolerations | Kubernetes

Node affinity is a property of Pods that attracts them to a set of nodes (either as a preference or a hard requirement). Taints are the opposite -- they allow a node to repel a set of pods. Tolerations are applied to pods. Tolerations allow the scheduler to schedule pods with matching taints. Tolerations allow scheduling but don't guarantee scheduling: the scheduler also evaluates other parameters as part of its function.

  3. Pod Security Policies | Kubernetes

Removed feature PodSecurityPolicy was deprecated in Kubernetes v1.21, and removed from Kubernetes in v1.25. Instead of using PodSecurityPolicy, you can enforce similar restrictions on Pods using either or both: Pod Security Admission a 3rd party admission plugin, that you deploy and configure yourself For a migration guide, see Migrate from PodSecurityPolicy to the Built-In PodSecurity Admission Controller. For more information on the removal of this API, see PodSecurityPolicy Deprecation: Past, Present, and Future.

  7. Control Topology Management Policies on a node ...

FEATURE STATE: Kubernetes v1.27 [stable] An increasing number of systems leverage a combination of CPUs and hardware accelerators to support latency-critical execution and high-throughput parallel computation. These include workloads in fields such as telecommunications, scientific computing, machine learning, financial services and data analytics. Such hybrid systems comprise a high performance environment. In order to extract the best performance, optimizations related to CPU isolation, memory and device locality are required. However, in Kubernetes, these optimizations are handled by a disjoint set of components.

  8. Declare Network Policy | Kubernetes

This document helps you get started using the Kubernetes NetworkPolicy API to declare network policies that govern how pods communicate with each other. Note: This section links to third party projects that provide functionality required by Kubernetes. The Kubernetes project authors aren't responsible for these projects, which are listed alphabetically. To add a project to this list, read the content guide before submitting a change. More information. Before you begin You need to have a Kubernetes cluster, and the kubectl command-line tool must be configured to communicate with your cluster.
