Description The mc qos rule commands allow you to manage Quality of Service (QoS) rules on an MinIO AIStor deployment. QoS rules enable you to control API request rates and concurrency to ensure fair resource allocation and prevent system overload. Rules can be configured based on API operations, bucket patterns, and object prefixes.

The mc rm command removes objects from a bucket on an MinIO AIStor deployment. To completely remove a bucket, use mc rb instead. You can also use mc rm against the local filesystem to produce similar results to the rm command-line tool. For more information on how MinIO AIStor performs DELETE actions on objects, see Object Deletion. mc rm supports removing multiple objects or files in a single command. Consider using the --dry-run option to validate that the operation targets only the desired objects/files.

The mc ilm tier add command creates a new remote storage tier to a supported storage services. See Object Transition for a complete list. Syntax Example The following example creates a new remote tier called WARM-MINIO-TIER on the myaistor deployment. The command creates a tier for a remote MinIO AIStor deployment located at the hostname https://warm-minio.example.com.

The mc diff mc computes the differences between two filesystem directories or MinIO AIStor buckets. mc diff lists only those objects which are missing or which differ in size. mc diff does not compare the contents of objects. Syntax Example The following command computes the difference between the contents in the mydata folder on a local filesystem and the contents in the mydata bucket on the myaistor MinIO AIStor deployment:

The mc event add command adds event notification triggers to a bucket. MinIO AIStor automatically sends triggered events to the configured notification target. Syntax EXAMPLE The following command creates a new event notification trigger for all PUT and DELETE operations for the mydata bucket on the myaistor MinIO AIStor deployment:

The mc idp ldap accesskey sts-revoke command removes security token service (sts) credentials associated with an account. Revoke all STS tokens for an account, or specify the type(s) of STS tokens to revoke for an account. Syntax Example The following command removes all STS access tokens for LDAP user bobfisher from the myaistor deployment:

mc inventory resume resumes a suspended inventory job. The job transitions back to its pre-suspension state. This command requires the admin:InventoryControl permission. Syntax Example The following command resumes a suspended inventory job:

mc inventory put reads a YAML configuration file and creates or replaces the inventory configuration in a bucket. The command uses the id field to determine whether to create a new configuration with that value or update an existing one with matching value. See the configuration reference for details on all available configuration options. Syntax Example The following command creates a new inventory configuration for bucket mybucket using the configuration in job.yml:

The mc inventory status command displays the execution status of an inventory job. The command shows comprehensive information about the job’s current state, progress, and execution history. You can optionally watch the status in real-time as the job progresses. Syntax Example The following command displays the status of an inventory job:

The mc replicate ls command lists all replication rules on an MinIO AIStor bucket. The output includes the remote bucket, rule ID, priority, and ARN for each rule. Syntax Example The following command lists all enabled replication rules for the mydata bucket on the myaistor MinIO AIStor deployment:
