Scheduling Framework | Kubernetes
FEATURE STATE: Kubernetes v1.19 [stable] The scheduling framework is a pluggable architecture for the Kubernetes scheduler. It consists of a set of "plugin" APIs that are compiled directly into the scheduler. These APIs allow most scheduling features to be implemented as plugins, while keeping the scheduling "core" lightweight and maintainable. Refer to the design proposal of the scheduling framework for more technical information on the design of the framework.kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/scheduling-eviction/scheduling-framework/Registered: Fri Jan 03 10:59:02 UTC 2025 - 444.6K bytes - Viewed (0) -
Operator pattern | Kubernetes
Operators are software extensions to Kubernetes that make use of custom resources to manage applications and their components. Operators follow Kubernetes principles, notably the control loop. Motivation The operator pattern aims to capture the key aim of a human operator who is managing a service or set of services. Human operators who look after specific applications and services have deep knowledge of how the system ought to behave, how to deploy it, and how to react if there are problems.kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/extend-kubernetes/operator/Registered: Fri Jan 03 10:59:51 UTC 2025 - 438.3K bytes - Viewed (0) -
Pod Scheduling Readiness | Kubernetes
FEATURE STATE: Kubernetes v1.30 [stable] Pods were considered ready for scheduling once created. Kubernetes scheduler does its due diligence to find nodes to place all pending Pods. However, in a real-world case, some Pods may stay in a "miss-essential-resources" state for a long period. These Pods actually churn the scheduler (and downstream integrators like Cluster AutoScaler) in an unnecessary manner. By specifying/removing a Pod's .spec.schedulingGates, you can control when a Pod is ready to be considered for scheduling.kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/scheduling-eviction/pod-scheduling-readiness/Registered: Fri Jan 03 11:00:02 UTC 2025 - 441K bytes - Viewed (0) -
