Create static Pods | Kubernetes
Static Pods are managed directly by the kubelet daemon on a specific node, without the API server observing them. Unlike Pods that are managed by the control plane (for example, a Deployment); instead, the kubelet watches each static Pod (and restarts it if it fails). Static Pods are always bound to one Kubelet on a specific node. The kubelet automatically tries to create a mirror Pod on the Kubernetes API server for each static Pod.kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/configure-pod-container/static-pod/Registered: Wed Nov 05 10:55:29 UTC 2025 - 483.2K bytes - Viewed (0) -
Configure Quality of Service for Pods | Kubernetes
This page shows how to configure Pods so that they will be assigned particular Quality of Service (QoS) classes. Kubernetes uses QoS classes to make decisions about evicting Pods when Node resources are exceeded. When Kubernetes creates a Pod it assigns one of these QoS classes to the Pod: Guaranteed Burstable BestEffort Before you begin You need to have a Kubernetes cluster, and the kubectl command-line tool must be configured to communicate with your cluster.kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/configure-pod-container/quality-service-pod/Registered: Wed Nov 05 10:55:00 UTC 2025 - 494.5K bytes - Viewed (0) -

Specifying a Disruption Budget for your Applica...
FEATURE STATE: Kubernetes v1.21 [stable] This page shows how to limit the number of concurrent disruptions that your application experiences, allowing for higher availability while permitting the cluster administrator to manage the clusters nodes. Before you begin Your Kubernetes server must be at or later than version v1.21. To check the version, enter kubectl version. You are the owner of an application running on a Kubernetes cluster that requires high availability.kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/run-application/configure-pdb/Registered: Wed Nov 05 11:07:57 UTC 2025 - 484.8K bytes - Viewed (0) -

Run a Single-Instance Stateful Application | Ku...
This page shows you how to run a single-instance stateful application in Kubernetes using a PersistentVolume and a Deployment. The application is MySQL. Objectives Create a PersistentVolume referencing a disk in your environment. Create a MySQL Deployment. Expose MySQL to other pods in the cluster at a known DNS name. Before you begin You need to have a Kubernetes cluster, and the kubectl command-line tool must be configured to communicate with your cluster.kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/run-application/run-single-instance-stateful-application/Registered: Wed Nov 05 11:09:46 UTC 2025 - 484.8K bytes - Viewed (0) -
Expose Pod Information to Containers Through En...
This page shows how a Pod can use environment variables to expose information about itself to containers running in the Pod, using the downward API. You can use environment variables to expose Pod fields, container fields, or both. In Kubernetes, there are two ways to expose Pod and container fields to a running container: Environment variables, as explained in this task Volume files Together, these two ways of exposing Pod and container fields are called the downward API.kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/inject-data-application/environment-variable-expose-pod-information/Registered: Wed Nov 05 11:08:16 UTC 2025 - 486.9K bytes - Viewed (0) -
