AIStor supports running in S3 Express Mode. This mode enables directory bucket behavior for optimized heirarchial storage structures. While object store prefixes generally support organized storage, S3 Express Mode implements the specific directory bucket behaviors documented by AWS. S3Express mode disables most API operations outside of simple bucket and object PUT, GET, DELETE, and LIST operations. All other API operations return not supported errors, including operations for versioning, locking, and replication.

The mc idp openid accesskey commands allow you to list, delete, or display information about OIDC access key pairs on the AIStor deployment. This command works against access keys created by an OIDC user after authenticating to AIStor. Authenticated users can create access keys with the AIStor console, or with the mc admin accesskey create command. An authenticated user cannot create access keys for another OIDC user. AIStor also supports using AssumeRoleWithWebIdentity to generate temporary access keys using the Security Token Service.

Use the mc support perf command to review the performance of the S3 API (read/write), network IO, and storage (drive read/write). The resulting tests can provide general guidance of deployment performance under S3 GET and PUT requests and identify any potential bottlenecks. For more complete performance testing, consider using a combination of load-testing using your staging application environments and the AIStor WARP S3 benchmarking tool. The mc support telemetry record command streams captured trace calls to a file. Use the --sample flag to modify the number of calls traced and adjust the impact on performance. In addition to creating a file with the telemetry data, the command outputs the number of packets saved, the file name and path, and instructions for uploading the generated file to SUBNET. You can replay a recorded file and stream the telemetry to an OpenTelemetry Protocol (OTLP)-compatible collector by HTTP interface with mc support telemetry replay.

Syntax The mc ilm rule export command exports the object lifecycle management configuration for an AIStor bucket. The mc ilm rule export command outputs to STDOUT by default. You can output the contents to a .json file for archival or ingestion using mc ilm rule import.

The mc idp ldap accesskey info outputs information about the specified access key(s). This command works against access keys created by an AD/LDAP user after authenticating to AIStor. Create AD/LDAP service accounts with the mc idp ldap accesskey create command. Authenticated users can manage their own long-term Access Keys using the AIStor Console. The mc ilm tier ls command shows the remote tiers configured on a deployment. The mc ilm tier list command has equivalent functionality to mc ilm tier ls. Syntax Example The following example outputs a list of the existing remote tiers on the myaistor deployment.

Description The mc idp ldap policy commands show the mapping relationships between policies and the associated groups or users. This command has the following subcommands: Subcommand Description attach Attaches one or more policies to an entity. detach Detaches one or more policies from an entity. entities Displays a list of mappings for a user, group, and/or policy.

The mc ilm tier add command creates a new remote storage tier to a supported storage services. See Object Transition for a complete list. Syntax Example The following example creates a new remote tier called WARM-MINIO-TIER on the myaistor deployment.
