Data Compression | AIStor Object Store Document...
AIStor supports compressing objects to reduce disk usage. Objects are compressed on PUT before writing to disk, and uncompressed on GET before they are sent to the client. This makes the compression process transparent to client applications and services. Depending on the type of data, compression may also increase overall throughput. Write throughput for a production deployment is generally 500MB per second or greater per available CPU core in the system. Decompression is approximately 1 GB per second or greater for each CPU core.docs.min.io/enterprise/aistor-object-store/administration/objects-and-versioning/data-compression/Registered: Fri Dec 05 03:40:27 UTC 2025 - Last Modified: Mon Dec 01 21:26:16 UTC 2025 - 253.9K bytes - Viewed (0) -
Active Directory/LDAP Access Management | AISto...
If you integrate AIStor with Active Directory (AD/LDAP) as your identity provider, you can also manage access with AD/LDAP. AIStor can map a user’s Distinguished Name or group Distinguished Names (DNs) to existing policies. See Active Directory/LDAP Identity Management for configuring the integration. This page explains how to create AIStor access policies that match the AD/LDAP DNs. AIStor supports configuring a single Active Directory or LDAP (AD/LDAP) service for external management of user identities.docs.min.io/enterprise/aistor-object-store/administration/iam/access/ldap-access/Registered: Fri Dec 05 03:38:29 UTC 2025 - Last Modified: Mon Dec 01 21:26:16 UTC 2025 - 243.7K bytes - Viewed (0) -
Add New Peer Site | AIStor Object Store Documen...
This page documents the steps necessary to add a new AIStor installation to an existing Site Replication configuration. The procedures assumes a new AIStor installations and an existing set of deployments configured for Site Replication. The existing configuration must have all AIStor peer sites reachable and healthy. If any of the sites are unreachable or permanently lost, you must first remove the unreachable site(s) with mc admin replicate rm before expanding with the new site.docs.min.io/enterprise/aistor-object-store/administration/replication/site-replication/site-repli...Registered: Fri Dec 05 03:38:33 UTC 2025 - Last Modified: Mon Dec 01 21:26:16 UTC 2025 - 242.2K bytes - Viewed (0) -
OpenID Connect Identity Management | AIStor Obj...
AIStor supports using an OpenID Connect (OIDC) identity provider (IDP) such as Okta, KeyCloak, Dex, Google, or Facebook for external management of user identities. This page explains how to configure an OIDC provider for AIStor on Kubernetes and bare-metal infrastructures. See OpenID Connect Access Management for how to set up appropriate access controls for OIDC-managed identities. This procedure is generic for OIDC compatible providers. Refer to the documentation for the OIDC provider of your choice for specific information.docs.min.io/enterprise/aistor-object-store/administration/iam/identity/oidc-identity/Registered: Fri Dec 05 03:38:36 UTC 2025 - Last Modified: Mon Dec 01 21:26:16 UTC 2025 - 249.8K bytes - Viewed (0) -
Exclude Prefixes | AIStor Object Store Document...
You can exclude up to 10 prefixes on a bucket with versioning enabled. This is especially useful for Spark or Hadoop workloads or any process that initially creates objects with temporary prefixes. Prefixes A prefix is a common leading string of characters under a bucket that a set of objects share.docs.min.io/enterprise/aistor-object-store/administration/objects-and-versioning/versioning/exclu...Registered: Fri Dec 05 03:39:50 UTC 2025 - Last Modified: Mon Dec 01 21:26:16 UTC 2025 - 245.8K bytes - Viewed (0) -
Automatic Object Expiration | AIStor Object Sto...
Each procedure on this page creates a new object lifecycle management rule that expires objects on an AIStor bucket. This procedure supports use cases like removing “old” objects after a certain time period or calendar date. Requirements Install and configure AIStor Client This procedure uses the AIStor Client (mc) for performing operations on the AIStor cluster. Install mc on a machine with network access to both source and destination clusters. See the mc Installation Quickstart for instructions on downloading and installing mc.docs.min.io/enterprise/aistor-object-store/administration/object-lifecycle-management/create-life...Registered: Fri Dec 05 03:40:52 UTC 2025 - Last Modified: Mon Dec 01 21:26:16 UTC 2025 - 247.2K bytes - Viewed (0) -

Container | AIStor Object Store Documentation
AIStor supports deploying resources as a container for local development and evaluation. Performance The following table shows areas that have the greatest impact on AIStor performance, listed in order of importance. Prioritize securing the necessary components for each of these areas before focusing on other hardware resources, such as compute-related constraints.docs.min.io/enterprise/aistor-object-store/installation/container/Registered: Fri Dec 05 03:36:23 UTC 2025 - Last Modified: Mon Dec 01 21:26:16 UTC 2025 - 234.5K bytes - Viewed (0) -
Windows | AIStor Object Store Documentation
AIStor supports deploying resources onto Windows hosts for local development and evaluation. For the purposes of evaluation or local development, MinIO recommends using a machine released in the last 4 years with at least 8 GB of RAM. You can use any supported version of Windows. For testing or local development using a virtualized environment, including Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), use a machine with a higher number of cores and 16 or 32GB of RAM.docs.min.io/enterprise/aistor-object-store/installation/windows/Registered: Fri Dec 05 03:36:33 UTC 2025 - Last Modified: Mon Dec 01 21:26:16 UTC 2025 - 234.9K bytes - Viewed (0) -
Installation | AIStor Object Store Documentation
This section provides documentation and guidance for installing AIStor. Each subsection represents a supported platform, where guidance reflects the specific installation and configuration methods associated with that platform. If you need to install Key Manager to manage cryptographic keys while objects are at rest, see the AIStor Key Manager docs. If you need to install Volume Manager to manage container storage volumes in a Kubernetes environment, see the AIStor Volume Manager docs.docs.min.io/enterprise/aistor-object-store/installation/Registered: Fri Dec 05 03:36:50 UTC 2025 - Last Modified: Mon Dec 01 21:26:16 UTC 2025 - 237.1K bytes - Viewed (0)
